Corporate events have a different kind of pressure. The guests didn't choose to be there - some did, some didn't. The room is mixed: seniority levels, departments, plus-ones, clients from out of town.
What you need isn't a DJ who plays loud and hopes for the best. You need someone who understands the room, follows the program, and makes every transition - dinner to awards, awards to after-party - feel intentional.
That's a different skill set. It's one I've spent 14 years developing.

Before every corporate event I ask detailed questions about your program, your guest profile, and the atmosphere you're trying to create at each stage. I follow your run-of-show. I coordinate with your emcee, your AV team, your event manager. I flag issues before they surface on the night.

I read the room continuously. Volume, tempo, genre, energy - adjusted in real time based on what the room is actually doing. A table deep in conversation gets breathing room. A pocket of guests near the floor who are ready to move gets a nudge.

In general, the corporate DJ fee includes arriving early to set up, soundcheck, get briefed, and perhaps rehearse itinerary-specific items.
A waiting room for me to pass the time is greatly appreciated.
If the rehearsal is on the same day, it depends on how early I need to come. Standby time is normally included unless it is exceedingly long (3+ hours).
If I need to come rehearse on a different day, extra charges will apply. How much depends on when I need to come and how long I need to stick around.
Yes, and at a corporate dinner that's most of the job: walk-in music for VIPs and award winners, something short between categories, and some "upbeat music" while the lucky draw number comes out.
I will usually request a floor plan and your itinerary/program so I can curate the right music for each segment of your event. If you have performances that need specific songs or MP3s played, please share them with me a week before the event (a day before at the latest). It's better to prepare ahead than scramble with no time; I do have plenty of experience with adding last-minute requests, though.
Yes. That's where sharing your program with me is important: I work from your run-of-show and adjust when the timings shift, which they always do.
I am also flexible with changes and often keep in touch with the emcee or coordinator about how the program is proceeding. You can also add me to the coordination WhatsApp so I'm up to date on how things are going.
That depends on your program, event objective, event theme, and guest demographics.
Not every corporate crowd wants to dance, and that's fine. Chill dinner music, networking-type vibes, drinking songs, dance parties - my library is versatile and my experience long.
The hardest part of a corporate DJ's job is building energy from coworkers and colleagues instead of friends and family. I do my best, but corporate culture is often distant and antisocial.
Yes. Each of my sound setups comes with two wireless mics. That covers speeches, the emcee and a toast for events up to about 100 guests.
For larger events, or with bands and complex performances, sound, lighting and visuals go through Mochi Entertainment, my AV rental side, with me still handling the music.
Of course. All required official documentation can be provided for your finance department. My AV company (Mochi Entertainment) is a registered e-invoice and SST entity.
